Answer You will only be charged tax if you are a resident of California, in which case you also have the benefits of California weather.

Design Public is required by law to charge sales tax on orders shipped to California addresses. This tax is calculated and itemized during the online ordering process. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to addresses in other states.

And just so you know, it's not always sunny here.
